The original World War I memorial at the Junction of Pembury Road and Quarry Hill. The names were later reinscribed in the new Memorial Garden in Bradford Street. Further information about Tonbridge's various war memorials is here.

This page links to brief obituaries of all the Tonbridge men whose names are commemorated on the World War I panels of the memorial wall in Tonbridge War Memorial Garden in Bradford Street (apart from a small number of names not yet identified). A number of men with Tonbridge connections who do not currently appear on the Tonbridge Memorial are also listed.

The entries have been extracted by Pam Mills and David Swarbrick from the more detailed obituaries in their two-volume book Tonbridge roll of honour: the Great War: a record of the fallen (2014), a copy of which is available for reference in Tonbridge Reference Library in Avebury Avenue (shelfmark 940.467422372).
